Spouse, Guest, & Family Activities

Meet at 9:00am at the hotel for socializing with old friends and meet new ones (Conference Suite 4104).  Coffee and tea are available.   At noon we'll take a short walk to the Skyline restaurant for lunch.  It's at the top of the Bank of America building and has fantastic views of Jacksonville.  It's cafeteria style service, but has great reviews from Yelp and Urbanspoon.  Here is a link to their menu, but it's possibly subject to change. Note that all of these activities this week are also open to families/guests of CANUG and FLMUG attendees.

 

The meeting room will be open at 9:00am.  Coffee and tea are available.  At 9:40am we'll leave the meeting room to take a chartered bus, provided by the AUG & MUG Steering Committees, to St. Augustine, FL.  We will be in St. Augustine from approximately 11:00a - 4:00p, with pickup at 10:00a and drop off at 5:00p.  You are welcome to tour St. Augustine on your own or join me as I board the Old Town Trolley for on and off privileges throughout the city.  Trolley tickets may be purchased at the Old Town Trolley Welcome Center or save money and purchase them online.  Your ticket is good for 3 days.  The first stop will be for a highly recommended historic tour of Flag College.  Admission is $10.  Afterward, we'll see many of St. Augustine's attractions. 

It is recommended the families and guests of the MUG Conference attendees sign up for Tuesday's tour.  The bus will hold 35 people, so be sure to RSVP.  Make reservations for Tuesday's tour by calling or emailing Mary Foster  - Cell 330-475-6273 or Email garymaryf@gmail.com. 

 

The meeting room will be open at 9:00am.  Coffee and tea are available.  We'll leave from the meeting room at 9:30am to walk 0.6 miles to Jacksonville's Skyway that will take us to Jacksonville's Museum of Science and History.  We will then take a very short walk to River City Brewing Company for lunch.  We will be taking the Skyway back.  No need for reservations, just be in the meeting room by 9:30am if you plan to go. 

 

The meeting room will be open at 9:00am.  Coffee and tea are available.  We will be repeating Tuesday's agenda.  That way family and guests from both conferences will have the opportunity to make the trip.

There may be an opportunity for Tuesday people to go again on Thursday if there's room on the bus.  Come to the meeting room Thursday at 9:15am to check for availability.
